Save the date for the annual “Beyond the Farm” day, when the Stanford Community pitch in to support local community service agencies.
Our club and collaborators will be organizing a number of family-friendly events on or near this date.

Time: 9:15am- 12:30pm
Volunteer age requirements: 6 years and up – minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian
Project Description: Gardening, and grounds spruce-up of a famous historical Philadelphia horticultural center. Other: On-site parking. Rain or Shine. Volunteers are encouraged to bring water bottles, hats/sun protection, and gardening gloves.
Volunteers will be working in the Sankofa Community Farm at Bartram’s Garden. Volunteers will help with the following:
- planting
- mulching
- weeding
- pruning
- light maintenance on community garden beds
Please wear closed-toe shoes, a jacket, sunscreen, and bring gardening gloves if you have them (if not, they will supply). It’s also recommended to bring a water bottle.
This project welcomes volunteers ages 6 and up.
